This section includes articles
from various publications, which are not about Schooner Dolphin, but which
are of closely related interest.
(Click links in bold to browse articles)
The “Cruising
World” (www.cruisingworld.com) article
is about crewed luxury charters, exactly the type of vacations which will
be offered on Dolphin through the brokers listed in the article. www.caribbeansailing.net

The “Stamford
Advocate” article is about Singles Under Sail (www.singlesundersail.org)
, a sailing club located in Norwalk, Connecticut, of which several of
the owners of Dolphin are members.
The “RMI
Solutions“
article is about the design review process conducted for a new “mega-yacht”
sailboat being built to order for Sun Microsystems CEO Bill Joy. Rocky
Mountain Institute http://www.rmi.org/ is a global
resource and energy efficiency think tank in Aspen, Colorado. The design
“charette” they conducted is unique in that it looks at a
sailboat as a self-sustaining human environmental system, an interesting
perspective with portents for the future of both sailing and humanity
at large.
The “American Way“
article is about corporate meetings on board cruise ships. While Dolphin
is not a cruise ship, we expect that we can offer her to smaller groups
for business meetings in a similar way.
The “Latitude
38” (www.latitude38.com)article
is about the work of the Pacific Yacht Ministries (PYM) www.pacificyachtministries.org
, based in Australia, whose mission is to provide medical and dental services
to remote islands of the Pacific region, in a very similar way as that
planned for Schooner Dolphin. One difference is that PYM plans to serve
just one area of the Pacific islands on many small boats, and we expect
that Dolphin can help provide a similar service on a global scale on a
larger vessel.
