OTHER KFK'S

Of the 612 KFK’s built, 29 are known to still exist or to have been around until quite recently. As 140 of them went to Russia and 293 were converted for civilian use in Germany alone, along with a number given to other countries, it is likely that many more are out there somewhere, but we simply do not know where.  Some of the 29 are presently in the process of major restoration and refitting, several are for sale, most are motor vessels only, one has been plated in steel, and many have been rigged for sail.  Thanks to the efforts of Mike of SEEMOEWE in Malta, there is now a KFK special interest group, which can be viewed or joined at:

http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Kriegsfischkutter/

 Thanks to the efforts of KFK group member Andreas Zedler <mail@andreas-zedler.de> of Berlin, the following list of all known KFK’s has been compiled.

Please feel free to contact us at Schooner Dolphin, Andreas or the KFK group to pass on and share any more information you may have about these or any other KFK’s.

=> scroll down to the pictures with the cranes and the comment
"Aufgelegter Kriegsfischkutter" =>

I get the information, that this one may no longer exist. It was rotting down and broken up. Maybe there is another former KFK in Wilhelmshaven at the moment, named SEESTERN and rebuild to a state, that you can’t identify it as a former KFK. Unfortunately no details on either ship.

KFK ? ONZE LINDQUENDA ex WILLEM in Holland from end of war until purchase by Paul Jackman Graham of London in 2005, presently undergoing major refit. Web site to be launched in February 2006
